Tips Yoga Beginners
As a yoga teacher the most common problem I have noticed in the beginners is the motivation. Most of the beginners who start off very well in the initial days fail to maintain the motivation at later stages. The lack of novelty and enthusiasm in the mundane workout routine often cause boredom which may hamper the motivation of a student. Thus Yoga faculty takes utmost care to fill their course with joy and enthusiasm. This is the main reason that the yoga teacher training in Goa offered by Yoga Faculty has been attracting numerous students all over the world. However, one should start up with taking out time from their busy schedules in the beginning. Practicing in the same place and at the same time daily can help maintain motivation. Decide on a time and strictly adhere to it daily. Consider it as an important appointment which you are not supposed to be missing out. In fact, it is really a very important appointment you give yourself to look after and take care of yourself. This will make you feel wonderful and awesome about yourself throughout the day.
Conventionally, early morning hours are chosen for yoga practice. These hours are the best timing to practice yoga if your daily schedule permits as you can take the advantage of the fresh and calm surroundings before all the household is awake. You may choose late afternoon or early evening hours if you cannot make out for this time. Always practice yoga on an empty stomach. Take atleast two to three hours of gap after you eat anything if you are practicing yoga in evening hours.
Spend few minutes just sitting in any relaxed posture of your choice with your eyes closed before you start your session. Observe your breath and look into your inner self. Then slowly begin with warm-up exercises before you start up with actual postures. When you finish spend atleast five minutes to lie down in your final relaxation position which ends your session. Do not start or do not end your session abruptly. Proceed slowly. Yoga is all about improving your abilities and overcoming your limitations, which certainly needs time. So do not be in hurry. Also do not force yourself to achieve perfection in postures. Do not force your body into positions that it cannot perform.
Follow your breath from the beginning to the end of your session. It indicates how your body feels in each position. If your breath becomes ragged or uneven at any point of time during the session you should ease off a little. Apart from breath, you should listen to your body too. If you feel any pain or unease in any posture or position you should opt to practice the easier version of the posture. Continuous practice with patience and perseverance will allow you to reach the advanced levels sooner. Most importantly yoga should never be performed without the guidance of a master partiuclarlyif you are new to yoga. Consult both your yoga master and your family doctor before you start if you have specific health concerns.
